Anthrax Vaccine Study

Study Now Open in Omaha, NE

Anthrax is an infectious disease caused by the spore-forming bacterium B anthracis. Though it is rare in the U.S. and is not contagious, people exposed to infected livestock or animal products can get sick with anthrax. Anthrax could also be used as a weaponized biological agent. Anthrax is designated as a Tier 1 agent because it presents a significant potential for deliberate misuse.

In this study, Meridian is investigating the safety of a vaccine — there will be no exposure to anthrax (an infectious disease caused by the spore-forming bacterium B anthracis).
