A study is being conducted to collect physiologic data before and after potential physiological changes induced by the administration of the shingles vaccine. This study does not involve an investigational vaccine — participants will receive an approved shingles vaccine as part of this study.

Eligible participants…

Must be ages 50-64
Must be willing and able to get an approved shingles vaccine as part of this study
Will receive compensation for study-related time
Do not need insurance to join this study

You are not guaranteed to benefit from being in a clinical study. However, information learned from the study may help people in the future.

Is participation voluntary after I submit my information?

Yes. Participation in a study is entirely voluntary. In the informed consent process, you’ll learn about the product being studied, your role in the trial, potential side effects, tests that will be performed, and the number of visits required. You will need to sign an informed consent form to join the study only after you fully understand your role in the study.

Will I get a physical exam?

If you join the study, you will receive a physical exam. You may also receive specific exams or tests — the results of which will be shared with you.

Will I receive compensation?

While participation in a clinical study is voluntary, you may be reimbursed for your participation, study-related travel and expenses. After you submit your information, a Meridian enrollment specialist will call you to talk about the study. Staff at the research clinic will discuss possible reimbursement with you.
