Escherichia coli (E. coli) are bacteria that can cause infections, which can trigger diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and fever. In some cases, the infection can be life-threatening. While E. coli can affect people of all ages, people age 60 and older are more susceptible to becoming ill from the bacteria, especially those with a history of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Meridian is now seeking participants ages 60 and older with a history of UTI for an investigational E. coli vaccine study.
Eligible participants…
- Must be ages 60 or older
- Must have had a documented case of UTI within the past 2 years
- Will receive compensation for study-related time
