Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory illness. Symptoms may include a sore throat, cough, and chills. Symptoms usually resolve within 1 to 2 weeks after onset. Serious cases can lead to hospitalization and/or death. The best way to protect against influenza is through vaccination. Meridian is conducting a clinical research study for an investigational influenza vaccine.
