Will my child benefit from this study?

Your child is not guaranteed to benefit from being in a clinical study. However, information gathered in this study may help doctors find new ways to help prevent, detect, or treat health problems.

Is participation voluntary after I submit my child’s information?

Yes. Participation in a study is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw your child from the study at any time, for any reason. In the informed consent process, you’ll learn about the investigational vaccine being studied, your child’s role in the trial, potential side effects, tests that will be performed, and the number of visits required. You may sign an informed consent form for your child to enroll the study only after you fully understand their role in the study.

Will my child get a physical exam?

If your child enrolls in the study, he/she will receive a physical exam.

Will I receive compensation?

While participation in a clinical study is voluntary, you may be reimbursed for your travel and expenses. After you submit your information, a Meridian enrollment specialist will call you to talk about the study. Staff at the research clinic will discuss possible reimbursement with you.
