APAM partners with Meridian Clinical Research to run clinical studies to help develop better treatments for existing patients, and for people worldwide. This location performs clinical studies related to conditions that affect children and adolescents under the age of 21.

Lori Cook, MD

Dr. Lori Cook was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy. Dr. Cook graduated Summa Cum Laude from LSU with a degree in Zoology in 2002. She then graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans in 2007. Her pediatric internship and residency was completed at Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston, SC) in 2010. She has been in private practice since 2010.

Rodger "Bucky" Elofson II, MD

Dr. Rodger Elofson was born in East Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Broadmoor High School and has been in Baton Rouge since 1972. Dr. Elofson graduated from LSU with a BS degree in Biochemistry in 1981. He then graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans in 1985. His pediatric internship and residency was completed at LSU Medical Center and Earl K. Long (Baton Rouge, LA). He was Chief Resident at Earl K. Long from 1987-1988. Dr. Elofson has been in private practice since 1988.

Dr. Dana Fakouri was born in New Orleans, LA, and grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, where she graduated from Tara High School in 1982. Dr. Fakouri graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in microbiology in 1986. She then graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans in 1990. Her pediatrics internship and residency were completed at Charity Hospital (New Orleans, LA) and Children’s Hospital (New Orleans, LA). She has been in private practice since 1993.

Dr. Brannon Perilloux was born in Houston, TX in 1968. He grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Catholic High School in 1987. Dr. Perilloux graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1991. He then graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans in 1995. His pediatric internship and residency was completed at Children’s Hospital (New Orleans, LA) and LSU (New Orleans, LA). Dr. Perilloux has been in private practice since 1998.
