mRNA Investigational Vaccine Study

Now Enrolling

Meridian is now seeking participants for an investigational mRNA vaccine study.

In this study, scientists are evaluating investigational mRNA vaccines intended to help prevent the spread of several diseases, including COVID-19, influenza, cytomegalovirus (CMV), and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Eligible participants…

  • Must be age 18-75
  • Will receive an investigational COVID-19, RSV, or CMV vaccine, OR an FDA-approved seasonal flu vaccine at no cost
  • Must NOT have received a seasonal flu vaccine within the past 6 months
  • Could receive up to $900 compensation for study-related time
  • Do not need insurance to join this study

About the Diseases Being Studied

  • RSV can cause infections of the lungs and respiratory tract and can lead to serious conditions such as pneumonia and bronchiolitis, especially for seniors and immunocompromised people. RSV hospitalizes an estimated 177,000 seniors (age >65) in the U.S. each year.
  • CMV is a common virus. Although most children and adults don’t experience symptoms, CMV infection before or during birth in newborns (congenital CMV infection) can result in significant lifelong disability. CMV is the most common infectious cause of birth defects in the U.S.
  • Influenza is an infectious disease characterized by the abrupt onset of respiratory and systemic symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat, and rhinitis. Research studies are crucial, especially for advancing research of investigational vaccines to protect older adults and persons with underlying medical conditions.
  • Cold- or flu-like symptoms — such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle pain, headache, and chills — are common with SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19). Severe cases can lead to pneumonia, other respiratory conditions, and organ dysfunction or failure.
