If you haven’t been vaccinated against pneumococcal disease, you may be eligible for a clinical study.
Pneumococcus can cause serious diseases. Right now, a clinical study is testing an investigational vaccine to learn about the safety and immune responses it produces against 20 strains of pneumococcus (Streptococcus pneumoniae), a type of bacteria that can lead to pneumonia, blood infection, and other serious diseases.
If you take part in our clinical research study, you will receive either an investigational or an approved vaccine that may help prevent pneumococcal disease. You will also receive study-related medical care and reimbursement for travel.
This study is for research purposes only. There may not be a direct benefit to you if you take part, but information learned from the study may help other people in the future.
If you take part you will receive...
- Reimbursement for travel
- An investigational vaccine or an approved vaccine that may help prevent pneumococcal disease
- Study-related medical care
You may be eligible to participate if you...
- Are at least 19 years of age
- Have not been vaccinated with a pneumococcal vaccine
Health insurance isn’t required. The study doctor will assess other criteria to make sure that you’re eligible to participate.
