Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can be life-threatening for newborns. More than a common cold, RSV can lead to severe infections, including pneumonia. In the U.S., RSV is the leading cause of infant hospitalization.
While there is currently no approved vaccination to prevent RSV infections, scientists are researching an investigational vaccine.
