The Zika virus has spread rapidly over the past decade with large outbreaks in South and Central America. Zika can cause birth defects, and is transmitted through mosquito bites, and can even spread from person to person (mainly through sexual transmission). People infected with Zika may experience fever, headaches, and muscle pain. Meridian is seeking participants for a study of an investigational Zika virus infection.
Eligible participants…
- Must be age 18 to 65
- Can NOT have received a vaccine for dengue
- Must not have a known or suspected autoimmune disease
- Will receive compensation for time and travel
- Do not need insurance to join this study
